This Privacy Policy explains how Mochi Mochi Donuts (the “App”), published by Michael Piercy / Game Design (“we”, “us”, or “our”), handles information when you use the Android version distributed on Google Play.

Request deletion of your data (Mochi Mochi Donuts)
This section applies to the Google Play game Mochi Mochi Donuts, published by Michael Piercy / Game Design. The App does not create its own user accounts. If you signed in with Google Play Games, you can ask us to delete the App-related cloud data we hold that is linked to your Play Games player identity.
How to request deletion
- Email gamedesign.ie@gmail.com with the subject line “Mochi Mochi Donuts data deletion request”.
- Include enough information for us to find your records, for example your Play Games display name and (if you know it) Play Games player ID, plus confirmation that the request is for Mochi Mochi Donuts.
- We may ask a short follow-up question to verify that you control the relevant Play Games identity before deleting data.
- After verification, we will delete the App cloud data described below and confirm by email when complete.
We aim to complete verified requests within 30 days (sooner where required by applicable law).
Data we delete on request
- Cloud collection / unlock progress stored for Mochi Mochi Donuts
- Cloud gameplay / game-event records we store for sync or stats for your Play Games player identity
- Related profile sync records we hold on our Google Cloud / Firestore backend for the App
Data that is not deleted by this request (or that we do not control)
- On-device App data — clear App storage in Android settings or uninstall Mochi Mochi Donuts to remove local progress and settings.
- Your Google / Play Games account — we cannot delete your Google account. Manage or delete that account through Google.
- Advertising data processed by Google AdMob and partners — managed through your device ad settings and Google’s privacy controls; see Google’s privacy policy.
- Data we must keep temporarily for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute reasons — if applicable, only for as long as needed, then deleted or anonymised.
Retention after a deletion request
Once a verified request is completed, the deletable cloud data above is removed from our active systems. Residual copies may remain in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before those backups are rotated or purged, and are not used to restore your App profile.
3. Information we process
Depending on how you use the App and your device settings, the following categories of information may be processed.
3.1 Information stored on your device
- Local game settings and preferences
- Local collection / unlock progress
- Other gameplay state needed to run the App offline
This on-device data stays on your device unless a cloud feature below is enabled and used.
3.2 Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App uses Google AdMob to show banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads. Google and its partners may collect and process information such as:
- Advertising ID (Android Advertising ID / AAID)
- IP address (which may be used to infer approximate location)
- Device and app diagnostic information
- Ad interaction data (for example impressions, clicks, and video views)
- Other identifiers used for advertising, measurement, and fraud prevention
Where required (for example in the EEA/UK/Ireland), we present a consent experience using Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalised ads are requested.

You can reset or opt out of personalised advertising using your device’s advertising / ad privacy settings (for example, delete or reset your advertising ID, or turn off ads personalisation on Android).
3.3 Google Play Games Services (optional)
On Android, the App may offer Google Play Games sign-in. If you sign in, Google may provide us with identifiers such as a Play Games player ID and display name so we can authenticate you and restore progress.
Play Games is provided by Google. Use of Play Games is also subject to Google’s terms and privacy policy.
3.4 Cloud progress and game events
When Play Games sign-in and cloud sync are available and active, the App may send limited gameplay-related data to our backend services hosted on Google Cloud (including Cloud Functions and Firestore), for example:
- Play Games player identifiers needed for authentication
- Collection unlock / progress data
- Game completion or related gameplay event records used for sync and stats
We use this information to sync progress across sessions/devices, support Play Games features, and operate the App reliably. We do not use this data to sell ads ourselves.
3.5 Permissions
The Android App may request or declare:
- Internet — to load ads and sync cloud features
- Advertising ID (AD_ID) — used by the ads SDK for advertising and measurement
4. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the App
- Show ads and measure ad performance (via AdMob / Google)
- Provide optional Play Games sign-in and cloud progress sync
- Detect abuse, fraud, and technical issues
- Comply with legal obligations and Google Play requirements
5. Sharing of information
We may share information with:
- Google (AdMob, Play Games, Google Cloud / Firebase infrastructure) — as needed to provide ads, authentication, hosting, and related services
- Service providers who process data on our behalf solely to help us operate the App
- Authorities if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process
We do not sell personal information. Advertising partners may receive data as described in Section 3.2 in connection with serving and measuring ads.
6. Data retention
- On-device game data remains until you clear app data or uninstall the App.
- Cloud progress / event data associated with a Play Games account is retained while needed to provide sync and related features, or until we delete it as part of routine maintenance or a verified deletion request.
- Advertising and analytics data retained by Google is governed by Google’s policies.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information we process, including transmitting cloud sync traffic over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
8. Children’s privacy
The App is intended for a general audience. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children for our own independent profiling.
Because the App includes advertising, parents and guardians should review device and Google account settings and supervise use by minors. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us inappropriately, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
9. Your choices and rights
- Reset or limit your advertising ID in Android system settings
- Manage Play Games sign-in from your Google account / Play Games settings
- Clear local App data or uninstall the App
- Use any in-app or regional consent controls presented for ads (including UMP where shown)
Depending on where you live (for example Ireland, the EEA, the UK, or certain US states), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of personal data, or to object to certain processing. To request deletion of App cloud data we control, follow the steps in Request deletion of your data. For other privacy requests, email gamedesign.ie@gmail.com. For data processed by Google (ads / Play Games), you may also need to use Google’s own tools and account settings.
10. International processing
Information may be processed on servers outside your country of residence, including by Google and Google Cloud infrastructure. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards used by those providers.
11. This website
The website at mochimochidonuts.com is a simple static site used to publish information and policies about the App. It does not use cookies, analytics, or advertising trackers.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
